Mertie travels to England and Scotland for health care study mission

Scott Mertie, member-in-charge of Kraft Healthcare Consulting, LLC, traveled to London, England and Edinburgh, Scotland on a Health Care Study Mission this spring. The Nashville Health Care Council and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce partnered with British economic development agency UK Trade and Investment to host the Study Mission.

The transatlantic meeting was led by HCA Retired Chairman and CEO Jack O. Bovender, Jr. and included 20 executives. Participants experienced an up-close look at the British and Scottish health care systems through small-setting exchanges with policymakers, business executives and dignitaries in the UK.

The Study Mission was the Council and Chamber’s eighth outbound international activity and included a number of meetings with senior policymakers, industry leaders and U.S. Embassy officials in London and Edinburgh.
