1925-1993

Joe Kraft was born to Boruch and Fannie Kraft in South Nashville in 1925. He graduated from Vanderbilt University where he played basketball. Joe and his wife Elsie had a son, Lee, and a daughter Julie.

1958

Joe Kraft, CPA was founded.

1963

Kraft & Associates name was adopted.

1963

Leonard Esstman became partner.

1964

Cyril Kraft became partner.

1965

Maxie Patton became partner.

1968

Firm moved to Parkway Towers.

1969

Kent Harrell became partner.

1977

Kraft Bros., Esstman, Patton & Harrell name was adopted.

1981

Opened office in Columbia, Tennessee.

1982

KraftCPAs brand name was adopted.

1992

Received the Academy for Women of Achievement Corporate Award.

1993

Formed Kraft Technology Group, LLC.

1993

Vic Alexander was named chief manager.

1994

Formed 2nd Generation Capital, LLC with Mike Collins.

1997

Opened office in Lebanon, Tennessee.

1999

Received the first Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) Pathfinder Award.

2000

Received Nashville Business Journal Award for Excellence in Customer Service.

2002

Formed Kraft Asset Management, LLC with Stephen High.

2002

Received HR Facet Award for Excellence for “Employee Satisfaction.”

2003

Firm moved headquarters to 555 Great Circle Road.

2004

KraftCPAs PLLC name was officially adopted.

2005

Acquired interest in Axis Accounting Systems, LLC, now Kraft Enterprise Systems, LLC.

2005

Received the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Public Service Award.

2006

The first year the firm received the Best Places to Work Award from the Nashville Business Journal.

2008

The firm was selected as one of the Ten Most Dependableā„¢ Accounting Professionals of the Southeast by Goldline Research.

2008

Supported the Pencil Foundation for the firm’s 50th anniversary community service project.

2008

The first year the firm received the Accounting Today Best Accounting Firms To Work For Award.

2008

Formed Kraft Analytics, LLC with Glenn Perdue.

2009

Received the American Society of Women Accountants Education Foundation Balance Award, presented to three firms across the United States.

2009

Formed Kraft Healthcare Consulting, LLC with Scott Mertie.

2010

Received the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) Public Service Award.

2017

Named a finalist in the Better Business Bureau 2017 Torch Awards for Ethical Commerce.
