KHC leaders represent Nashville on German delegation

Scott R. Mertie of Kraft Healthcare Consulting, LLC (KHC) was selected by the German American Chamber of Commerce® of the Midwest, Inc. (GACC Midwest) to participate in an exclusive international health and technology delegation in Germany from October 16–20. Of the 15 U.S. healthcare and medical technology professionals chosen, only three representatives are from Nashville.

Part of the GACC Midwest’s Transatlantic Cluster Initiative, the program aims to facilitate international collaboration and establish business relationships between healthcare experts in these two countries. The delegation will focus on relevant health initiatives such as digital health and personalized medicine; telemedicine and rehabilitation and prevention; additive manufacturing; and entrepreneurship in healthcare. During the five-day delegation, participants will attend events in multiple cities across Germany and interact with key personnel in the country’s healthcare and medical technology industry.

Scott, president of KHC, has 25 years of reimbursement, operational and financial experience in the healthcare industry. He has participated on numerous international delegations to various locations, including Paris, Edinburgh, London, Belfast, Cuba, China, Seattle, New York and Washington, D.C. Scott is a certified healthcare financial professional (CHFP) and a certified medical practice executive (CMPE) through the American College of Medical Practice Executives.

The delegation is sponsored by the Nashville Health Care Council (NHCC) and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. KHC is a member of the NHCC, whose mission is to inspire global collaboration to improve healthcare by serving as a catalyst for leadership and innovation. Scott serves on the board for Leadership Health Care, an initiative of the NHCC. KraftCPAs is a member of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
