Richard Colwell is a senior manager in the KraftCPAs tax department. As such, he is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and managing/reviewing the work of other team members.
Richard specializes in tax research, planning, consulting, and compliance for partnerships, corporations, limited liability corporations, and individuals. He also overseees client representation before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state and local authorities; he handles inquiries, audits, and negotiations. Richard works with clients in a multitude of industries, but focuses primarily on construction and real estate.
He has more than 25 years of tax accounting experience, including nearly four years as a tax manager in private industry. He formerly worked for a niche firm where he specialized in tax services for contractors and real estate developers.
