Mandy Thompson

Mandy Thompson is the director of coding and compliance consulting with Kraft Healthcare Consulting, LLC (KHC), an affiliate of KraftCPAs PLLC.

Mandy consults with healthcare providers to ensure billing and coding compliance. She also performs coding and documentation audits and Office of Inspector General (OIG) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) compliance training. She works with healthcare facilities to assist with recovery audit contractor (RAC) appeals and administrative law judge (ALJ) hearings. Additionally, Mandy works with attorneys providing expert reports in OIG investigations and has successfully had cases dismissed by the OIG and the ALJ.

Mandy specializes in revenue cycle management services, including chargemaster financial management and compliance. In addition, she provides charge description master (CDM) maintenance.

With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, Mandy has worked in a variety of roles in the industry. Previously, she was a coding and compliance consultant for a regional firm, business office director for an assisted living facility, and patient account representative for the largest multi-specialty clinic in Mississippi.

Mark Patterson

Mark Patterson is a member with the tax services group at KraftCPAs. He is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, overseeing the work of engagement teams, reviewing ongoing tax planning and compliance work, approving final tax returns, and presenting our work to clients.

Mark works extensively with middle-market companies to identify and utilize state and federal tax credits, deductions, and other incentives, including the Tennessee job tax credit, the federal research and experimentation (or “R&D”) credit, IC-DISC for exporters, and cost segregation studies. Mark also assists clients on both the buy and sell sides of transactions, including advising clients on exit strategies and their tax implications.

As a practice leader of the firm’s manufacturing/wholesale/distribution (MWD) industry team, Mark oversees the group’s strategic plan. He also manages the tax engagements for most of the firm’s MWD clients, including auto suppliers, fabricated metal product manufacturers, as well as distributors of consumer products, pharmaceuticals, building materials, office supplies, furniture, and wire/cable, among others. Mark also has experience in the transportation and service industries, as well as with American subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies.

Prior to joining KraftCPAs in 2009, Mark worked with both local and national public accounting firms. He has been in public accounting since 1985.

Sandra Long

Sandra Long is a senior manager with the tax services group at KraftCPAs. She is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and managing and reviewing the work of other team members.

Sandra specializes in tax planning and compliance services for a variety of clients, including Social Security benefit planning and management, trusts and estates, and private foundations. She has extensive experience in individual taxation issues, as well as estate, gift, and trust tax planning.

Sandra has more than 25 years of accounting experience and joined Kraft in 1998.

Scott Nalley

Scott Nalley is the member-in-charge with the risk assurance and advisory services (RAAS) group at KraftCPAs PLLC. He is responsible for overall management and oversight of the RAAS practice, including its staffing, daily operations, quality control, and client relationships.

Scott provides risk management, internal control, and regulatory compliance consulting services such as internal audits, system and organization controls (SOC) attestation examinations, HITRUST assessments, and HIPAA risk analysis. He has experience in the areas of risk assessments, network security assessments, network vulnerability assessments, IT audit, data privacy compliance, and risk management, as well as designing, implementing, and testing internal controls.

Scott works extensively with clients in the manufacturing/wholesale/distribution (MWD), government, utility, technology, healthcare, and professional services industries. As leader of the firm’s internal audit team, he works with internal audit departments and public accounting firms by providing quality assurance and peer reviews.

Scott has more than 20 years of experience in public and private accounting. His prior public accounting experience included performing external audits for nonprofit/governmental entities, dealerships, and MWD companies, as well as employee benefit plans. Scott also worked for six years as an internal auditor for Vanderbilt University.

Amanda Taylor

Amanda Taylor is a senior manager in the client accounting and advisory services (CAAS) department of KraftCPAs. Her responsibilities include planning and executing engagements, building client relationships, and managing/reviewing the work of other team members.

Amanda has experience with financial statement preparation, consulting, and QuickBooks accounting software training, as well as business, individual, sales, personal property, and payroll tax return preparation. She works extensively with small to mid-sized, closely held businesses, including those in the service, investment management, and real estate industries.

Amanda started her professional career with KraftCPAs in 1996.

Allison Pate

Allison Pate is an HR supervisor at KraftCPAs and its affiliate companies. She is responsible for assisting the campus recruiter and executive recruiter along with the director of human resources to develop and implement employment initiatives, identify and engage talented professionals for key positions throughout the firm, and oversee recruiting events at universities and other locations across the United States.

Allison joined Kraft in 2019. She has previous human resource experience in the agricultural and manufacturing industries.

Brad Koenig

Brad Koenig is a member in the client accounting and advisory services (CAAS) group at KraftCPAs. He is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, overseeing the work of engagement teams, reviewing and approving work products, and presenting our work to clients.

Brad provides services including tax research, consulting, planning, and compliance for businesses and individuals. He works extensively with clients in retail, service, nonprofit, financial, food, and recreation. Brad also provides QuickBooks training and support.

Brad, who joined Kraft in 2016, began his career in public accounting in 2007. He previously owned a company with annual revenue of $3.6 million, giving him insight into the challenges and opportunities that our entrepreneurial clients face.

Jared King

Jared King is a member in the assurance services department at KraftCPAs. He is responsible for planning and executing engagements, building client relationships, managing and reviewing the work of the assurance services team, and preparing and presenting reports to clients.

As a practice leader of the firm’s employee benefit plan industry team, Jared oversees quality control and operations of the group that audits almost 100 plans each year. In this role, he works extensively with third-party administrators, plan custodians, and ERISA attorneys.

In addition, Jared performs a variety of assurance services such as external audits, reviews, and agreed-upon procedures for clients in the construction, governmental/nonprofit, real estate, and manufacturing/wholesale/distribution (MWD) industries. His clients include many with locations in multiple states, as well as subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies.

As a registered qualified peer reviewer, Jared is an integral part of our firm’s peer review practice, which evaluates quality control systems for the accounting and auditing practices of firms throughout the United States.

Jared began his public accounting career with KraftCPAs in 2004.

Chris Hight

Chris Hight is the chief manager of KraftCPAs, where he oversees the operations and financial management of the firm and its affiliated companies. He assumed that role November 1, 2024.

Chris has more than 30 years of experience in public and private accounting. Prior to moving into the chief manager position, Chris was member-in-charge of the firm’s assurance services team, where he provided and supervised services such as external audits, reviews, agreed-upon procedures, merger and acquisition assistance, sale side/buy side quality of earnings calculations, due diligence, and litigation support.

Chris served as a practice leader for the firm’s manufacturing/wholesale/distribution (MWD) industry team. He has experience with MWD clients ranging from start-ups to large manufacturers with operations in foreign countries and U.S. subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies. His MWD clients have included manufacturers of food, chemicals, medical equipment, firearms, furniture, trailers, clothing, agricultural equipment, luggage, and injection molds, paper product distributors, and stamping and metal fabricators/suppliers in the automotive and aerospace industries.

Chris also served as a practice leader for the firm’s employee benefits team, where he oversees more than three dozen employee benefit plan audits annually. He has extensive experience interacting with third-party administrators, plan custodians, and ERISA attorneys.

Prior to joining KraftCPAs in 2004, Chris was senior vice president and CFO of a cellular tower company, where he supervised the acquisition of the company in a transaction worth nearly $100 million. He also worked as an audit manager for a national accounting firm, where he managed audits of both public and private companies.

As a Columbia, Tenn., resident, Chris maintains an office in Columbia office as well as the Nashville location of KraftCPAs.

Josh Hedrick

Josh Hedrick is a member at Kraft Analytics, LLC, an affiliate of KraftCPAs.

Josh works with clients in multiple industries to provide business valuations, financial instrument valuation, intangible property valuation, damages computations, mergers and acquisition consulting, equity and financing transaction consulting, cash flow and capital investment modeling, forensic accounting, and other services. His clients include those in healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, professional services, entertainment, transportation, software, life sciences, retail, construction, distribution, and real estate.

Josh’s valuation experience includes businesses, equity interests, debt instruments, intellectual property, and other intangible assets for investment, lending, managerial planning, compliance, accounting, tax, marital dissolution, restructuring, and litigation purposes.

He has extensive forensic experience working with attorneys on valuation issues, transactional disputes, economic damages, intellectual property, corporate investigations, employee fraud, and insurance coverage.

Josh’s experience in transaction advisory services includes valuations, fairness opinions, due diligence, and transaction structuring support related to acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, divestitures, equity investments, lending transactions, and generational transfers.

In addition, Josh provides services related to industry and competitive analysis, business strategy, compensation studies, and capital project analysis. He is frequently featured at corporate and legal industry events as a guest speaker on topics related to valuation, exit planning, mergers, and acquisitions.

Before joining Kraft Analytics in 2009, Josh provided business valuation and litigation support at a North Carolina firm. He began his professional career in the financial institutions industry.

Vikki Gray

Vikki Gray is a member in the assurance services department of KraftCPAs. She is responsible for planning and executing engagements, building client relationships, managing and reviewing the work of other team members, and preparing and presenting reports to clients.

Vikki performs audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of clients, including nonprofit organizations, service providers, investment funds, and manufacturers. As a member of the firm’s nonprofit industry team, she works extensively with tax-exempt clients, including those that are subject to Government Auditing Standards and single audit compliance. Additionally, she is responsible for tax return review, research, and planning for tax-exempt clients.

Vikki has more than 15 years of experience in public accounting and joined KraftCPAs in 2009.
