Alisa Howard is a manager in the risk assurance & advisory services practice of KraftCPAs. With more than 15 years of experience, Alisa manages and works on several integrated internal audits for clients in industries such as manufacturing, banking and utilities. She has experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls testing for multiple large clients, as well as FFIEC regulatory audits for banks. In addition, she works on numerous service organization control (SOC) attestation engagements in various industries including document management services, payroll processing, software as a service (SaaS), freight audit and payment services and worker’s compensation claims processing.
Specifically, Alisa has performed integrated internal audit procedures for a $1 billion manufacturing client related to receiving, capital projects, accounts receivable, purchasing and accounts payable. She has also performed integrated internal procedures work for one of the top 12 public utility companies in the country in the areas of customer billing, payroll and timesheet processing.
Prior to joining Kraft, Alisa had more than 13 years of experience in finance and accounting. In her most recent role as an examiner with the State of Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions, she was responsible for assessing financial institution’s compliance with applicable laws, policies and regulations. Additionally, she reviewed securities and investment portfolios for internal controls, management oversight, risk identification and reporting accuracy.
Alisa is involved in performing risk assessments, planning and testing of internal controls, and IT general and application control assessments, preparing reports and managing staff. Alisa has specific experience in major vendor systems such as Oracle and Unix as well as proprietary application systems.
