Nancy Mullen of KraftCPAs has been recognized as one of Middle Tennessee’s Women of Influence by the Nashville Business Journal.
She became the sixth person from KraftCPAs to receive the honor, joining Becky Harrell (2012), Lynn Edwards (2014), Gina Pruitt (2014), Lucy Carter (2016), and Beverly Horner (2018). This year’s winners were announced March 5.
Nancy’s award in the Inspiration/Mentor category is a reflection of her years of volunteer work on behalf of military spouses. Nancy works closely with multiple organizations, including the Military Officers Association of America’s Surviving Spouse Advisory Committee, and she successfully lobbied for new legislation that allows more immediate financial assistance for spouses of a deceased service member.
A senior manager in the assurance services division at KraftCPAs, Nancy has held that position for six years as part of her 17 years overall in public accounting.
The Business Journal this year recognized 44 winners in nine categories based on public nominations scored by an independent panel of judges. Now in its 13th year, the award is designed to recognize women who “lead and make it a priority to give back, to encourage and to inspire,” according to the Business Journal’s website.
Winners will be formally recognized at a banquet in April.
